Morgan Court
Morgan Crt is a recently opened house due to Wallara's redevelopment project of the Potter St/Close Avenue site. The house was opened in July 2008 as a temporary measure until brand new homes are ready to move into. The residents are all learning new skills to enhance their independence by taking on day to day chores and have become more active and contribute to the daily grind of running a household.
Since moving into Morgan Crt the residents are getting to know their local area and are always out and about on the weekends choosing different areas of interest. There are times when they just stay home and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of their new environment.
During the week the residents join in with other members of Wallara's support services community programs involving themselves in different groups and interests of their own choice such as crafts, coffee club, meals on wheels and going to the shops, even Drama classes and Belly Dancing!!
Everyone at Morgan Crt has strong family ties and are encouraged to maintain their relationships and friendships. They often visit old friends that they used to live with and have also made new friends along the way.
Morgan Crt has a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere and the people have settled in really well.
