Nance Street
Nance Street is home to four people with mild intellectual disabilities. The residents are all fairly independent and staff support them with daily living skills. Two of the residents attend their choice of Wallara Community Options programs and the other two are employed by Wallara Industries. Ongoing support is given to meet the needs of the people to ensure a happy life at home, at work and the within their community.
Staff also assist residents to explore their potential and make every effort to encourage residents to achieve personal aspirations and have a go. All four residents are very happy with their accommodation and their housemates. Over the past year the residents have established a garden and have grown some amazing vegetables, which have been used for dinners and also have planted some very nice plants to make the place their own.
