Partnership Opportunities

Wallara is searching for a select few, like-minded Australian companies to join us in a long term partnership to raise awareness about disability and to help drive increased understanding and social inclusion.

We invite you to Join Us On Our Journey …………..

The following activities provide an insight into the partnership opportunities available at Wallara:

Stacey at ‘Dinner Under the Stars’

Wallara’s ‘Dinner Under the Stars’ Annual Fundraiser is now firmly fixed in Wallara’s calendar of activities after the inaugural sold out event in April 2012.

In 2013 the event will again be held in Wallara’s Headquarters, this time for a capacity audience of 120 executives from corporate Australia. It will once again bring together senior government representation, have 5 star catering and boast an exceptional list of ‘money can’t buy’ auction items and guests will hear more life stories from the people Wallara supports. WallaraTV is the exciting new initiative of Wallara. A mini-production company, it will capture interesting stories from across the service and share them online through our Facebook page, our website and our You Tube channel.

WallaraTV will also provide training and development opportunities for some of the people we support. They will learn new skills: how to conduct interviews, how to assist with the cameras and lighting and how to create interesting television from real life stories—their stories. Wallara/ Chisholm Institute Drama Group – 2011

The Wallara/ Chisholm Institute of Tafe partnership to deliver a new drama group for young people with a disability and young people with low employability skills was officially announced in April 2011. The innovative service delivery model was to build stronger pathways for young adults with disabilities into mainstream adult training and to create a sustainable program to drive social inclusion.

In 2012/2013 we aim to repeat the program through the Chisholm partnership and extend the reach across other student streams. For example the carpentry students will build the sets, the hair and beauty students will do the make-up and the graphic design students will make the flyers and tickets etc. Please click here for more information.

The Wallara Christmas Concert is one of Wallara’s most important events, held each year on, or close to, December 3 which is the United Nation’s International Day for People with a Disability.

It is a day for Wallara to reflect on how far we, as a team, have come over the past year and to share our goals for the next 12 months. It is an opportunity for old and new friends to catch up and enjoy great entertainment, inspiring stories and lots of fun and laughter. Please click here for more information.

Wallara Wall is a popular publication distributed to the people we support, families and carers, staff, local schools and businesses, corporate partners and friends of Wallara.

Each issue features inspirational stories from service users and their families and provides useful information and updates on events and issues in the disability sector. Please click here for more information.

Wallara Insight Program. All groups are welcome at Wallara, but it has been proven time and time again that early experiences greatly influence actions and the outlook of children, so the Insight Program has been specifically tailored towards secondary schools to inform students and raise awareness. The Insight Program gives the students some insight into disability, while offering them an enriching experience. Please click here for more information.

Keeping Wallara Moving. Wallara has 22 buses in its fleet which travel to and from the homes of the people we support, community venues, shopping and medical centres and further afield for day and overnight excursions.

Wallara is keen to use the mobile billboard space on its fleet to communicate messages about social inclusion. We are also keen to move away from the institutional feel of a fleet of white vans and buses. Please click here for more information.
